How to make tuna pasta salad recipe
If you have a half hour, you have time to create this recipe. With 10 minutes devoted to cooking the pasta, this recipe only requires about 20 minutes of actual prep time.
Bring a pot of salted water to boil. Add pasta and cook until tender, about 12 minutes, or as package label directs. Set aside in the colander to drain completely.
In a bowl, whisk oil, lemon zest and salt. Add dried pasta, chopped tomatoes, tuna, olives, olive oil, sun dried tomatoes, basil leaves.
Mix well all the ingredients taking care not to break the tuna up too much.Let cool to room temperature, season with some black pepper if desired. Serve straight away or keep in the fridge until needed. Use within 48 hours.
Variation
If you like, you can add bits of fresh mozzarella cheese!
