This Italian balsamic vinegar is not just any balsamic vinegar. Giuseppe Giusti Riccardo Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP* is created by the very family that began producing balsamic vinegar in Modena, Italy over four centuries ago. The Giusti family developed the first batch of oak barrel-aged balsamic vinegar in 1605. This collection of barrels is the “Gran Deposito” (Great Reserve) that imparts centuries of flavor to the grape must and wine vinegar that develops over the course of the long aging process.
This round, full-bodied aged balsamic vinegar is thick and dense in viscosity and balanced in its sweet and acidic flavor. Aromas of plum jam and red fruits are present with hints of honey and vanilla. Serve with field greens, fresh stuffed pasta, cut and fillets of beef, soft Italian cheese, fresh fruit, and desserts.
