In order to avoid this issue, we always recommend expedited shipping for all perishable food products on the product page, on our shipping policy, and lastly on the final checkout page before the order is placed. The reason that we do not require expedited shipping, as you suggested, is because many customers prefer to use standard shipping, especially when it is not their first order and they know that it arrives quickly, depending on where they are located. It would seem unfair to us to require a much more expensive shipping method if the customer prefers a slower and less costly method. We leave this up to the customer, however we are very clear about how much we recommend expedited shipping as it is the ONLY way that we can guarantee the ultimate freshness of the product.
